SOUTHWICK — The Select Board on Monday had encouraging words for a business owner interested in building a cannabis cultivation facility in a space that was once known for growing roses on Hudson Drive.
Paul Delatorre of Southwick Greenhouses Inc. and cannabis consultant Ezra Parzybok presented a business plan for a small cannabis growing operation that they want to build at 27 Hudson Drive, where the company has been growing roses since 1983. Delatorre had been working on the project for at least a few years, having gone as far as holding an outreach meeting in 2019.
Another outreach meeting took place just last month on Aug. 25, which Delatorre and Parzybok said was attended by just one person.
